My name is Simon. And I like to travel. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? But there is a bit more to that: Being the son of Chinese immigrants and having spent my childhood in Germany, Austria and China, I grew up not having a place called home. The concept of a single place being called “home” is quite foreign to me, so I view myself as global citizen and make myself a home whereever I go. Sounds cheesy, I know.
An international upbringing comes with international friends, so oftentimes I try to visit some old friends in the place they currently are staying in.
In the end, it’s all about the people. And those people can make you immerse into their town like no travel guide can. So, this blog is all about 3 places per city that I found very interesting, being a recommendation of a local friend, a place I randomly stumbled upon and find worth visiting or simply just buzzing with history. These places are most probably not the top tourist spots (albeit they sometimes can be), so please be directed to the various travel guides and websites out there for those.
